The apple iPod 32Gb Touch is a product that has been designed by industry giants Apple Inc. There are several models of the 32Gb Touch that are available but we shall look at the most recent of the models that is the 4th Generation model which is supported by the iOS Operating System that is uniquely available to Apple products including the iPhone. The 32Gb Touch is a very sleek, slim and compact primarily music player, camera, web browser and application enabled gadget that comes in chrome black color and a glass covered LCD screen with LED backlight.
The newer 32Gb Touch model comes complete with a built in speaker that was not available in earlier models and volume buttons at the side to make it easier for the user to manage the volume controls. Other visible additions include the two cameras; one is a front facing one, that enables the user to use the Face Time function that comes with the 32Gb Touch. With this feature one has the ability to chat on the web while seeing and being seen.
The front Camera works almost as a webcam. The camera specifications are VGA for the front Camera and the back is equipped with an image sensor. The processors that come with the fourth generation 32Gb Touch are locked at 80oMhz but when unlocked they can reach speeds of up to 1Ghz. This results in unmatched internet speeds and general reaction time by the 32Gb Touch is highly improved. These speeds come into play especially with real time user applications such as Google maps, Weather and many more. The newer generation versions are charged by a five Volt connection on the dock connector as opposed to the older models that used the twelve Volt pin.
When synchronizing the 32Gb Touch most users will find that when they use a Mac computer or a Mac book, it is way easier and more user friendly and it supports most applications as compared to synchronizing the device with a computer running on the Windows Operating System. Also key to note is that the 32Gb Touch is not supported by the Linux Operating system platform. Regardless though of the Operating System being used both require a cable to be able to synchronize the device with the computer. Once synchronized, mail, songs, videos, photos and many more can be accessed and transferred in that mode.
It is also worthy to remember that although they are modeled along the same platform, the 32Gb Touch and the iPhone differ in several ways in that the iPod Touch doesn’t have cellular network access i.e. to voice calls and messaging services and GPS navigation features. As a rule, the only way that you can gain access to applications for your 32Gb Touch is via Apple’s Application store of which iTunes can be accessed. The iPod Touch has a digital player that supports several digital audio standards such as WAV, Mp3, AIFF and Audible AAC. All in all it is a must have gadget.
